Il s agit alors d éclairer les moyens et manières qui ont présidé, durant la période, à ce que les acteurs de l urbanisme et la population se détournent d un élément structurant fondamental de la ville; Since the expansion of the city of Lille, France, in 1858, until the military downgrading of the town in 1921, the urban planning of the riverine space of the Deûle river transform the banks. The evolutions underline a great change of the perception of water which can be understood thanks to the physical negative evolution of it.
